Hyatt debuts first Brooklyn hotel with opening of The Livingston

The Livingston—a 104-room upscale property—has opened as the first Hyatt-branded hotel in the borough of Brooklyn.

Developed by St. Louis-based Midas Hospitality and ACRES Capital, The Livingston joins the JdV by Hyatt portfolio as a 22-story property. Located near Barclays Center, the Brooklyn Academy of Music and Brooklyn Museum, the hotel is 15 minutes from nearby New York City.

“We are delighted to bring the warmth of the JdV by Hyatt brand in a way that connects with Brooklyn’s creative energy for leisure and business travelers,” Linda Eigelberger, principal and chief commercial officer, Midas Hospitality, said in a statement.

Located on Livingston St., the pet-friendly hotel has 15 balcony rooms and city views throughout. Guestrooms and suites highlight a modern-industrial aesthetic with complimentary Wi-Fi, spa-style marble bathrooms, 55-inch TVs, mini fridges, coffee makers and dedicated workspaces.

Dining options include an all-day restaurant The Grove Lantern and the lobby’s Goldfinch Café, serving espresso drinks and pastries from local bakeries. An 820-square-foot rooftop terrace provides space for events and gatherings, while art installations from local creators are designed to further connect the hotel to its neighborhood.
