A reimagined lifestyle hotel has opened in Old Town Scottsdale with the debut of Hotel Solaya, which is now part of Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s JdV by Hyatt brand.

Following a full renovation, the 194-room Arizona property now is managed by New York-based Dreamscape Hospitality. Guest accommodations, public areas and amenities have been redesigned, alongside the addition of curated food and beverage outlets, a spa and fitness center and a redesigned outdoor pool deck.

“Hotel Solaya was designed to celebrate the energy of Scottsdale while offering guests a space that feels both vibrant and welcoming,” Tobby Rau, general manager, said in a statement.

The hotel’s design was inspired by the Sonoran Desert, incorporating sculptural architecture, layered textures and a tonal palette that emphasizes light and shadow. Public spaces feature art-driven elements and communal layouts intended to encourage interaction among guests and locals.

The property will introduce multiple food and beverage concepts. Ella on the Park—scheduled to open later this spring—will offer a modern American menu with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking Civic Center Park. Common Ground Bistro—located in the lobby—provides an all-day dining option focused on American bistro-style fare, coffee and light bites. Outdoor amenities include The Pool at Solaya, a cabana-lined deck with bar and grill service designed to function as a day-to-night social venue.

Hotel Solaya includes seven event spaces totaling indoor and outdoor venues. Highlights include a 3,500-square-foot outdoor lawn for large gatherings and a 2,600-square-foot ballroom for meetings, weddings and social events.
