Hotel Indigo—part of IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG)—is doubling its portfolio over the next three to five years. With 154 open hotels across 25 countries, Hotel Indigo currently stands as the second largest brand within IHG’s Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio, behind InterContinental Hotels & Resorts. The brand is expanding the lifestyle segment by introducing new resort properties in 2024, spanning from the Cayman Islands to Oman's mountains.
"Each Hotel Indigo is a vibrant reflection of its surrounding landscape, intricately woven with the threads of its local neighborhood,” Carol Hoeller, vice president of global brand management for Hotel Indigo and voco Hotels, said in a statement. “Although Hotel Indigo is often associated with urban settings, neighborhoods can be found in every corner of the globe, each with its own story waiting to be discovered, so it only made sense as we strive to set new standards in the ‘premium lifestyle’ space to expand our resorts offerings across the portfolio.”
The resort segment, while not new to the Hotel Indigo brand, currently has 15 open resorts across six regions. This segment of the brand is an important area of growth, with 34 additional resorts in the pipeline. This expansion will allow the brand to further deliver on its proposition to provide vibrant, local and personalized guest experiences in one-of-a-kind travel destinations.
