Hideaway Inns opens third property; launches franchise model

Hideaway Inns has opened its third property, Hideaway Inn Lenox, marking the brand’s first entry into franchise partnerships.

Developed by Hideaway Inns and managed by Rockville, Centre, N.Y.-based Revival Hotels, the 24-room Massachusetts hotel opens less than six months after the boutique brand’s debut property in Mt. Sunapee, N.H. Located in downtown Lenox, the hotel is within walking distance of Tanglewood Music Center and positioned to serve leisure demand in the Berkshires.

The Lenox project signals a shift toward growth through franchising for Hideaway Inns with additional deals in the pipeline. Properties are in development in Killington, Vt.; Sugar Hill, N.H.; and Dennis Port, Mass., as the brand targets regional leisure markets across the Northeast.

“We created Hideaway Inns to fill a gap in the market, giving travelers convenient access to destinations they love but in places that big brands often overlook,” Saxton Sharad, founding partner and CEO, Galena, Mo.-based Hideaway Inns, said in a statement. “With a focus on thoughtful design, fun social spaces and frictionless technology, we are building something different.”

Sharad further noted the brand has 6 properties scheduled to open by the end of the year and over 30 planned for the next five years.

Hideaway Inn Lenox operates under Revival Hotels’ “Invisible Hospitality” model, offering direct-to-room check-in. Guestrooms are individually designed and include record players, rainfall showers, white noise machines and La Bottega bath amenities.

A mobile concierge platform provides on-property information and local recommendations. Shared amenities include a lounge with vinyl library and games, family-oriented space, indoor recreation area, coworking space and a 24/7 coffee bar.
