Blue Flag Capital is set to double its portfolio in 2026 with four hotel openings across Wyoming and New York.
The additions for the include Faraway Jackson Hole in Wyoming, Faraway Sag Harbor, Hotel Corduroy in Montauk and Oyster Estate in Greenport, all scheduled to debut between May and September. The growth builds on the Boston, Mass.-based company’s existing presence on Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard and reflects a broader strategy focused on repositioning and operating historic and lifestyle-oriented properties in established leisure markets.
“For us, honoring historic properties goes far beyond preserving beautiful buildings, it’s about honoring the people, traditions and hospitality that make these places so meaningful,” Blue Flag Capital co-founder and CEO Jason Brown said in a statement. “As our portfolio continues to grow, our mission remains the same: to steward these properties thoughtfully and help restore the soul of these remarkable destinations for both travelers and the communities that surround them.”
The most notable expansion is in Jackson Hole, where Blue Flag is converting the former Snake River Lodge & Spa into Faraway Jackson Hole, expected to open in June with 90 rooms, suites and 48 residences. The hotel will be the company’s first noncoastal property, adding a mountain destination to its portfolio.
Amenities will include an indoor/outdoor pool, ski access and an on-site restaurant, with a second phase planned for 2028 that will introduce additional guestrooms and meeting space.
On the East Coast, Blue Flag is redeveloping Baron’s Cove in Sag Harbor into the 67-room Faraway Sag Harbor, also expected to open in June. The project continues the firm’s expansion across coastal markets, alongside Hotel Corduroy, a 29-room property in Montauk opening in May, and Oyster Estate, a 34-room hotel in Greenport scheduled for a September debut.
Faraway Sag Harbor will include a waterfront restaurant and bar, along with residential-style guestrooms and shared public spaces. Hotel Corduroy will feature a smaller footprint with beach access, while Oyster Estate will include a courtyard pool, food-and-beverage offerings and meeting space in the center of Greenport Village.
Blue Flag’s operating platform—Collared Martin Hospitality—manages the company’s portfolio, which currently includes Faraway Martha’s Vineyard, Faraway Nantucket and several independent properties on Nantucket.
