Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals will introduce “Workforce 20X: The AI Evolution,” an interactive learning experience, at HITEC 2026 in San Antonio.
The initiative will be hosted by the HFTP AI Council and is intended to provide attendees with an opportunity to examine how artificial intelligence and related technologies are influencing workforce operations and the broader hospitality environment. The 2026 event will be held June 15–18 at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, with the exhibit hall open June 16–17.
The newly added program is being developed and coordinated by 19 members of the HFTP AI Council, co-chaired by Michael Goldrich and Shannon McCallum. Michael Goldrich—founder and chief advisor of Vivander Advisors—said the industry is currently navigating an increasingly complex information environment around artificial intelligence.
“Most hoteliers I talk to are drowning in AI information,” Goldrich said in a statement. “Workforce 20X exists to cut through that noise. The HFTP AI Council is bringing together people who have actually implemented this technology so attendees can ask the questions they have been afraid to ask and get honest answers in a room with zero sales pressure.”
McCallum—vice president of hotel operations at Resorts World Las Vegas—added the initiative is intended to create a more practical and accessible environment for hospitality leaders exploring AI adoption.
“The HFTP AI Council is here to create a supportive environment where business leaders can gain insights from industry experts, legal professionals and academics,” she noted.
HITEC, produced by HFTP, is a global hospitality technology conference and exhibition. Organizers expect more than 5,900 attendees and over 370 exhibiting companies at this year’s event.
