The GM awards are the hospitality industry’s most prestigious national awards program aimed to specifically honor the GMs and their properties. Winners of the AHLA GM awards will be honored at the second annual GM Summit alongside The Hospitality Show in October.
Hosted in San Antonio, the GM Summit encourages general managers to celebrate the unsung heroes of the industry. Each category winner will be flown to Texas, have a filming session with our videographer, and be recognized on stage among their industry colleagues at the GM Summit.

- General Manager of the Year - Resort Properties
- General Manager of the Year - Independent Properties
- General Manager of the Year - Extended-Stay Properties
- General Manager of the Year - Full-Service Properties (excluding Resort Properties)
- General Manager of the Year - Select-Service Properties (excluding Resort Properties)
- GM Lifetime Achievement Award
The nominations portal will close July 11. Winners will be notified at the end of August.
