Extended Stay America recently held its annual franchise owners conference in Dallas under the theme “Aligned and Activated.”

The conference agenda included a presentation from Cindy Estis Green of Kalibri Labs on hospitality and extended-stay performance data. Other panel sessions included a peer panel of franchise owners, discussions with industry experts on operational issues and breakout sessions with company leaders in sales, marketing, franchise services and training.

Since launching its franchise program in 2018, Extended Stay America has more than doubled its number of franchised hotels, according to the Charlotte, NC-based company. Extended Stay America said development is underway across its three brands—Extended Stay America Premier Suites, Extended Stay America Suites and Extended Stay America Select Suites.

“This conference is an important week on our calendar. It's where we connect on what matters most to our franchise owners and leave energized about where we're headed next,” Greg Juceam, president and CEO, Extended Stay America, said in a statement. “The theme, ‘Aligned and Activated’ reflects something we believe deeply, that our growth is only as strong as the collaboration we have with our franchise community.”

The company also recognized franchise hotels and operators for performance in development, renovation, operations and guest experience. Awards included Best New Development & Ramp Up for Extended Stay America Premier Suites Bradenton, owned by Sandpiper Bradenton; Best New Conversion for Extended Stay America Suites Houston–Galleria, owned by SAI RAM Galleria; and Best New Renovation for Extended Stay America Suites Cleveland-Beachwood-Orange Place-South, owned by 3280 Orange Pl.

Additional awards included Overall Guest Experience Achievement for Extended Stay America Premier Suites San Antonio–Schertz, owned by ES Schertz; Most Improved Hotel for Extended Stay America Suites Buffalo–Airport, owned by 901 Dick Road Hotel; and the Care Ambassador Award for TGC Hospitality Management.
