The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association and technology platform Triptease will host the second edition of the Direct Booking Summit Caribbean.
The event—which will take place on May 15 at Sandals Grande Antigua—follows the Caribbean Travel Marketplace. The one-day program will focus on strategies to grow direct revenue, improve conversion and reduce reliance on third-party distribution channels. Sessions will address digital marketing, AI applications and evolving booking behaviors.
“Following a successful inaugural Direct Booking Summit Caribbean, we’re building on that momentum to bring even more practical, revenue-focused strategies to the region,” Sanovnik Destang, president, CHTA, said in a statement. “The summit has become an essential platform for Caribbean hoteliers to strengthen their direct booking performance, take greater ownership of the guest relationship and drive long-term profitability.”
“The first DBS Caribbean exceeded every expectation we had. Hoteliers who came ready to learn left ready to act. The conversations were honest, the ambition was real and the community that formed around it has only grown since,” added Charlie Osmond, co-founder of London-based Triptease.
Content areas are expected to include direct booking optimization, AI-driven guest acquisition, distribution strategy and peer-led discussions among regional operators. Registration is open to both CHTA members and non-members, with attendance expected to be limited based on prior demand.
