Velas Resorts, a collection of luxury properties in Mexico, appointed Susan Hinfey senior regional sales director for the meetings & incentives division in the United States. Hinfey, who is based in Scottsdale, Ariz., will take on sales leadership for the Northeast region.
Hinfey has more than two decades in luxury hospitality sales. Her career began at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, where she went on to take a global sales position for the brand. She joins Velas Resorts most recently from Auberge Resorts Collection, where she worked with luxury meetings, incentives and group business.
Hilton Anaheim
In California, the Hilton Anaheim has made two appointments supporting the property's continued focus on group business, meetings and guest engagement:
Peter Kane, the property’s new director of sales & marketing, has returned to Hilton Anaheim, where he began his Hilton career and previously spent five years supporting the hotel's commercial team. Following leadership roles across several Hilton properties and commercial organizations, he rejoins the property following its recently completed renovation.
Ryan Alsup, director of marketing, most recently was corporate assistant director of marketing for Wincome Hospitality and previously spent nearly five years with Visit Anaheim, where he supported meetings business and marketed more than 150 Anaheim and Orange County tourism partners. At Hilton Anaheim, he will lead marketing, communications, and e-commerce efforts as the newly renovated property continues to build momentum.
