UMusic Hotels, a joint venture between Universal Music Group and Dakia U-Ventures, named Jose Corraliza as the senior vice president of entertainment.
Corraliza’s journey into the entertainment industry began in an unconventional way—leaving behind a successful career as a restaurateur to follow his passion for live music and touring. “I started sleeping on flight cases and running with the music,” Jose shared. “I fell in love with the energy backstage, the moments before a show, and the connection between artists and audiences.”
His career highlights include over a decade with Cirque du Soleil, where he held key leadership roles, including vice president of touring shows and vice president of technical operations. Corraliza also co-created Heart Ibiza, a fusion of gastronomy, music, and art, recognized as one of the world’s top 15 clubs. His experience spans continents, cultures, and industries, uniquely positioning him to lead the evolution of UMusic Hotels.
Corraliza envisions UMusic Hotels as a celebration of local culture and global artistry. Each property will collaborate with local artists and musicians, ensuring authenticity and a deep connection to its surroundings. “Music is a tool for transformation and social change,” he emphasized. “Through benefit concerts, supporting emerging talent, and partnering with music education programs, we can empower communities while creating unforgettable experiences.”
