Stonebridge appoints new VP of feasibility

Denver-based hotel management company Stonebridge has appointed Christian Chen vice president of feasibility. In this role, Chen will lead the firm’s feasibility and underwriting initiatives, providing analytical and strategic insights to support Stonebridge’s continued growth across its portfolio.

“The majority of our new assets coming into the system in this market cycle, as well as those in our pipeline, are underperforming properties where owners are implementing management changes,” Rob Smith, CEO, Stonebridge, said in a statement. “This makes it more important than ever to have someone at Christian’s level who can thoughtfully incorporate Stonebridge’s advantages and market dynamics into a detailed underwriting and business plan designed to strengthen our owners’ investment objectives. I am pleased to add him to our team of top performers.”

Chen brings more than a decade of hospitality, real estate and financial analysis experience to Stonebridge, having most recently worked as vice president of feasibility & underwriting at Remington Hospitality. During his tenure, he led a team responsible for underwriting hotel acquisitions, refinances and capital investment projects, while collaborating across departments to align financial strategy with operational execution. Previously, Chen held senior roles at Aimbridge Hospitality, where he managed a multiperson group overseeing the company’s feasibility and underwriting needs, and at CBRE Hotels (formerly PKF Consulting), where he developed expansion strategies and conducted feasibility studies for hotel assets across the United States.

“Christian is an exceptional addition to our team,” said Kevin Dingle, chief development officer of Stonebridge. “His deep understanding of hotel feasibility, underwriting, and market analysis will further strengthen our investment strategy and growth capabilities. We are excited to welcome him to Stonebridge as we continue to expand our national footprint.”
