StepStone Hospitality appoints Jeff Miller as chief development officer, a newly created role focused on expanding the company's hotel management platform through management transitions and acquisitions. Providence, R.I.-based StepStone Hospitality currently manages 40 hotels totaling more than 6,500 guestrooms across the United States.
Miller joins StepStone with extensive experience in hotel operations, sales and business development. In his new position, he will oversee business development efforts and work to drive strategic portfolio growth.
“This position is dedicated to continuing to expand on our foundation and strategic growth strategy through both management transition and acquisition opportunities,” Thomas Russo, founder and executive chairman of StepStone Hospitality, said in a statement. “We are delighted to have someone with Jeff Miller’s skill set and industry experience to fill this important role.”
Most recently, Miller served as vice president of business development for Aimbridge Hospitality, where he negotiated management agreements for more than 30 hotels.
Before the merger of Prism Hotels & Resorts and Aimbridge Hospitality in 2022, Miller held leadership positions with Prism, focusing on business development while also overseeing more than 10 hotels as vice president of sales.
Earlier in his career, Miller held senior sales leadership roles with Interstate Hotels & Resorts, TPG Hospitality, HEI Hotels and White Lodging. During that time, he worked on revenue growth, market-share expansion and sales team development across multiple hotel portfolios.
