Hotel Equities appoints Kevin Kragnes as vice president of capital services. Kragnes originally joined HE as part of its strategic partnership with National Hospitality Services in 2023 and is now using his expertise to serve HE’s clients on a broader scale, according to the company. His skill set is a tremendous asset to the organization’s strategic initiatives, particularly in navigating the complexities of capital markets and financing for the hospitality industry.
Kragnes has more than 30 years of experience in banking and finance. His responsibilities as VP of capital services include securing capital for new developments, expansions, and renovations, as well as overseeing relationships with lenders and investors and promoting new opportunities for tactical growth. His role also involves providing guidance on investment strategies, mitigating financial risks, and ensuring long-term financial health for the organization.
"Kevin’s extensive background in finance, coupled with his leadership experience with NHS and his industry acumen, make him an invaluable addition to the team," HE Chief Development Officer Joe Reardon said in a statement. Kragnes holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and is a graduate of both the Commercial Lending School and the North Dakota School of Banking. He is a licensed real estate agent and holds licenses in Property Casualty and Life and Health Insurance. Kragnes has also been an active leader in his community, serving as president of the West Fargo Chamber of Commerce and the West Fargo Exchange Club.
