Hotel Equities has appointed Tim Ostrem regional director of operations in Canada. Ostrem will oversee the firm's portfolio of Canadian hotels.
With a career spanning three decades, Ostrem has experience in managed, franchised and independent properties, specializing in both limited- and full-service operations across various market segments. Before joining HE, Ostrem was an area general manager at North America's largest Residence Inn and mentored a team of general managers to achieve similar success.
Previous general manager roles include The Algonquin Resort, Autograph Collection and the dual-brand Courtyard by Marriott and Residence Inn Calgary South.
"Tim's extensive background and proven track record make him an invaluable addition to our team," Martin Stitt, senior vice president of operations for HE, said in a statement. "His strategic vision and operational acumen will be instrumental in driving excellence and growth across our Canadian properties, ensuring we continue to deliver optimal results in a highly competitive market."
HE's Canadian portfolio includes a range of hotels across Marriott, Hilton and IHG brands in key markets spanning from the West Coast to the East Coast.
