GrandStay Hospitality names Mary Sandberg president of the company. Sandberg brings more than 10 years of experience within the organization and a deep commitment to strengthening and expanding GrandStay Hospitality, LLC’s presence across the Midwest and beyond.
As part of this shift, former President Jon Kennedy has joined the GrandStay board of directors and will focus on franchise and business development. Kennedy’s experience and relationships will continue to support GrandStay Hospitality, LLC's development strategy during this leadership transition.
“Mary has strong marketing and leadership experience, and she is extremely qualified to lead the GrandStay brand,” Kennedy said in a statement.
“GrandStay has been such a big part of my life for over 10 years, and I’m committed to building on the legacy that’s already here while supporting the incredible franchisees who make this brand what it is. As we step into this next chapter, my focus is on growing thoughtfully and making sure every GrandStay Hotel has the marketing, tools, and support it needs to thrive,” said Sandberg, emphasizing her long-standing commitment to the brand and her vision for GrandStay Hospitality's next chapter.
During her transition into the role of president, Sandberg adds Cara Wallskog as strategic marketing coordinator for GrandStay Hospitality. Wallskog brings a strong background in digital marketing and a passion for elevating Midwest hospitality brands through thoughtful brand storytelling and strategic growth initiatives.
“Joining GrandStay has been a natural extension of both my marketing experience and passion for hospitality. After seven years leading marketing for a Midwest restaurant group, I’m excited to support Mary’s vision and contribute to strengthening the GrandStay brand for our guests and franchisees,” added Wallskog.
