Hotels across North America have appointed new leaders in recent weeks. Here are some names to know.
Alma San Diego
Alma San Diego, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, appointed Adam Lund general manager.
Lund’s hospitality career began during his college years at the University of Florida, where he held an entry‑level role in hotel operations and learned about food and beverage, catering and operations.
Moving to San Diego in 2000 marked the beginning of a longstanding relationship with the region for Lund. He has held leadership roles at lifestyle, branded, full‑service and newly repositioned properties.
Courtyard by Marriott Boston Downtown/North Station
Fontainebleau Development has appointed Kevin Matheson general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott Boston Downtown/North Station. The hotel is owned by Fontainebleau Development and Related Beal.
Matheson brings 25 years of experience to the Courtyard Boston Downtown/North Station, having led hotel operations across multiple lifestyle and luxury brands. He most recently was Area general manager for Magna Hospitality, overseeing properties throughout Greater Boston; and he has served in leadership roles for Hyatt, Pyramid Hotel Group, and Four Seasons. His early career includes management roles for Marriott International properties in Miami and Boston.
Everline Resort & Spa
In California, the Everline Resort & Spa, Lake Tahoe has named Monica Hubert general manager. Hubert has a longstanding history within the CoralTree Hospitality portfolio.
Before joining Everline, she was general manager of Outbound Sedona—another CoralTree-managed property—responsible for launching the resort ahead of its Spring 2026 debut. Before Sedona, Hubert spent approximately three years as general manager of Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country.
Four Seasons Hotel Toronto
Four Seasons Hotel Toronto appointed Chelan Goonetilleke as its new general manager. Chelan is transferring from Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler, where he was general manager.
Goonetilleke’s career with Four Seasons began in 2007 as senior director of marketing for the brand’s resorts in Mauritius and Seychelles. He later worked in Dubai, where he oversaw marketing for Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach and Four Seasons Hotel Dubai International Financial Centre, before joining Whistler in 2017 and rising through key leadership roles.
Hilton New York Times Square
Hilton has appointed Dan Briks as general manager of the 478-room Hilton New York Times Square. Briks joins the property from Martinique New York on Broadway, Curio Collection by Hilton, where he was general manager since 2021. During his tenure, he reopened the hotel following a two-year closure, oversaw the introduction of new food and beverage outlets and led the renovation of the hotel’s lobby.
Before that, Briks was general manager at Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza. He also held hotel manager positions at The Lexington Hotel, Autograph Collection, and Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel. Briks began his career at the Waldorf Astoria New York as part of the management development program, spending 11 years in various leadership roles across food and beverage and front office operations and ultimately working as executive assistant manager overseeing rooms, restaurants and banquet operations.
Hotel Trinity Austin
White Lodging appointed Ebrahim Ansari general manager of Hotel Trinity Austin, Autograph Collection, currently under development in downtown Austin.
With almost a decade of operational success at White Lodging, Ansari most recently was Dual general manager of Le Méridien and AC Hotel Denver Downtown, where he led high-performing teams and delivered consistent operational excellence across two distinct lifestyle brands. Ansari and his team at the Le Meridien ranked number one across the entire brand for guest feedback and intent to recommend twice in 2026.
The Observatory Sun Valley
The Observatory Sun Valley, A Viceroy Resort set to open in June in downtown Ketchum, Idaho, appointed Euan Taylor general manager.
Taylor brings more than three decades of hospitality leadership experience spanning the United States, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. His career includes senior leadership roles with Canyon Equity, The Little Nell Hotel Group, Robertson Lodges, The Clift Royal Sonesta Hotel, Cavallo Point Lodge and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
Thompson Central Park New York
Thompson Central Park New York appointed Devraj Gorsia general manager.
Gorsia started as an intern at the Hyatt Regency Hua Hin in Thailand while studying at Les Roches School of Hotel Management in Switzerland. Since then, Gorsiaj has led teams in Chicago; Dubai; Atlanta; and Scottsdale, Ariz. Most recently, he was general manager of Hyatt Centric Atlanta Buckhead.
