Driven in large part by a 97 percent overall franchisee retention rate, hihotels by Hospitality International has introduced a new recognition initiative, “The Legacy Circle,” honoring long-tenured owners.
The Legacy Circle program is designed to recognize long-standing franchise partners and will be formally introduced at AAHOACON26. Participating owners will receive milestone plaques for on-property display, along with additional visibility through brand marketing channels and recognition at regional conferences. According to the Tucker, Ga.-based franchisor, a full system-wide rollout of The Legacy Circle will begin in May 2026.
“In the hospitality industry, a 97 percent retention rate isn't just a statistic; it’s a vote of confidence,” Chris Guimbellot, president and CEO of hihotels, said in a statement. “The Legacy Circle represents a partnership built on trust and performance. Our owners stay because we constantly address their needs and focus on their bottom line.”
The company added its standard five-year franchise term has not deterred long-term commitment, with a majority of owners electing to remain in the system well beyond their initial agreements. According to hihotels, 89 percent of owners have been with the brand for more than five years; 42 percent for more than 20 years; and 18 percent for more than 30 years.
“We are approaching 40 years with hihotels, marking a significant milestone defined by consistent support and a partnership that has helped our business grow. This dependability has been vital to our success,” added Amit Patel, co-owner of the Red Carpet Inn & Suites in Rochester, Minn, and member of the hihotels Advisory Council.
