With 60 hotels open and more properties in the pipeline, Extended Stay America is marking the fifth anniversary of its ESA Premier Suites brand.
Extended Stay America plans to continue expansion of the midscale extended-stay brand, with a target of reaching 100 open properties by 2030. Premier Suites was developed as a purpose-built offering targeting extended-stay travelers, while also providing a flexible model for new construction and conversions, according to the Charlotte, N.C.-based company.
“For more than 30 years, Extended Stay America has defined the extended-stay category,” Greg Juceam, president and CEO of the company, said in a statement. “Premier Suites represents our continued evolution, applying our experience to address a clear opportunity in the midscale extended-stay segment.”
Properties under the Premier Suites flag typically include larger-format guestrooms with in-room kitchens, complimentary breakfast offerings, fitness facilities, on-site laundry and designated workspaces. The company noted the brand has seen traction in markets supported by infrastructure projects, healthcare systems, education institutions and other demand drivers tied to longer-term stays.
