HREC Investment Advisors has arranged an $11.75 million acquisition loan for the historic 142-room property formerly known as The Last Hotel STL in St. Louis. Other terms and conditions were not disclosed.
The financing—provided by a national debt fund—will be used to facilitate the property’s reopening and subsequent conversion to a Hyatt Centric hotel. Originally constructed in 1909, the 10-story structure underwent a conversion in 2019 from the former International Shoe Co. building in 2019 into a boutique hotel.
The hotel was listed for sale in June 2025 with an asking price of $16.5 million. The property has an appraised value of $16.97 million, according to city records. The property featured a rooftop lounge and swimming pool with city views, a ground-floor restaurant and over 6,500-square-feet of versatile event space.
