Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is set to add Exuma, an archipelago of 365 islands in the Bahamas, to its Caribbean portfolio with Rosewood Exuma. The project is being developed in partnership with Yntegra Group, a Miami-based private investment company.
Situated on the 124-acre East Sampson Cay private island, Rosewood Exuma will have 33 suites, several of which will be directly on the beach. Six food-and-beverage outlets will serve ingredients grown from the resort's organic garden. Rosewood's signature Asaya wellness facility will cover 20,000 square feet with six treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy facility, outdoor tranquility pool and fitness center. The property also will have an outdoor sports center featuring tennis and pickleball courts as well as watersports equipment.
Rosewood Exuma will have a fully serviced beach club with a grill restaurant, beach and pool bars and a private dining room. Two marinas with slips will accommodate yachts of up to 150 feet. In addition to the beach club pool, the resort will have two other pools exclusively for overnight guests, including one dedicated to families. Rosewood Explorers is the brand's children's club concept.
Rosewood and Yntegra have committed to prioritizing sustainable building practices throughout the development of Rosewood Exuma. On the island, 25 percent of the 124 acres will be developed, and initiatives such as solar-powered energy sources will be implemented with the aim of minimizing impact to the island. The resort will be designed to blend into the natural island landscapes.
