Minor Hotels has signed a resort in Brazil as the first property to be part of its new luxury collection brand.
Aventora Resort Baía Formosa, Minor Reserve Collection, will be in the country’s northeast and is scheduled to open in 2028. Owned by Gremi International Group, Aventora Resort Baía Formosa will be a new-build resort in the coastal town of Baía Formosa. The development will include 50 guestrooms and 28 branded residences.
Introduced last year, Minor Reserve Collection is positioned as a luxury soft brand focused on distinctive, independent properties. According to the company, each hotel in the collection is selected for its singular character and ability to reflect the spirit of its destination, with an emphasis on personalized experiences and design-led differentiation.
“We are thrilled to partner with Gremi International to announce the first signing for Minor Reserve Collection, our new collection brand in the luxury segment,” Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels, said in a statement. “The property will be a great addition to Brazil’s highly dynamic and growing tourism sector, with Pipa [Beach] being recognized as a key destination for eco-tourism in the country.”
Planned amenities include multiple dining venues, such as an all-day restaurant, specialty dining options, a pool bar and grill and a lobby lounge. Wellness and recreation offerings will feature a fitness center, exercise studio, spa, Kids’ Club and a curated library. Outdoor activities in the surrounding area include kite surfing, surfing, stand-up paddle boarding and mangrove kayaking.
The resort will be situated near several natural attractions, including the Genipabu dunes near Natal, Baía dos Golfinhos (Dolphin Bay) and Pipa Beach, known for its Atlantic Forest landscape, coastal cliffs and marine life.
Minor Hotels currently operates five properties in Brazil across its Tivoli, NH Collection and NH brands and has additional projects in its development pipeline, including the planned debut of the Anantara brand in the country.
