Lopesan Hotel Group is set to expand its portfolio in the Dominican Republic with three resort openings scheduled for late spring.
The trio of properties include the Lopesan Caoba Lagoon Resort, Spa & Casino; Lopesan Serenity Bay; and Lopesan Splash Cove. The properties are located in the Bávaro area of Punta Cana and are part of an integrated resort complex. The development is structured to provide differentiated resort concepts while leveraging shared amenities and infrastructure, according to the Canary Island, Spain-based operator.
“We’re excited to begin welcoming bookings for this next phase of Lopesan’s presence in Punta Cana,” José Alba, managing director of Lopesan Hotel Group, said in a statement. “By creating distinct resort experiences within one location, we’re able to offer travelers of different ages and interests a more personalized way to connect with the destination and with each other.”
Lopesan Caoba functions as the central property within the complex, with an emphasis on large-scale water features, multiple pool environments, lagoon-style swimming areas, a waterpark and direct beach access. The resort’s wellness component includes spa and fitness facilities, with a planned 16,000-square-foot spa encompassing 31 treatment rooms. In addition, the Lopesan Convention Center provides flexible meeting and function space supported by outdoor garden and beachfront venues.
Lopesan Serenity Bay is positioned as an adults-only product within the development, creating a more contained environment while maintaining access to the complex’s shared entertainment amenities. The resort features 239 suites housed in a single building and provides access to facilities such as an 820-seat theater, nightclub and casino. Dining for Serenity Bay guests is provided through a mix of à la carte, buffet and poolside options.
Lopesan Splash Cove targets families and multi-generational travelers and is designed around water-oriented recreation and shared activity spaces. The resort comprises 244 rooms within a five-story building set amid landscaped grounds. Amenities include multiple pools, including a dedicated children’s pool, as well as areas for entertainment and sports programming. The beach is located approximately 720 meters from the property and is accessible to guests.
