Hotel Equities and We Wai Kai Nation have teamed up on the development of the Four Points by Sheraton Campbell River in British Columbia.
The 102-room hotel—located on Brant Drive within the Quinsam Crossing commercial development—is scheduled to open in spring 2028. The property is owned and being developed by We Wai Kai Nation, while Atlanta-based Hotel Equities will operate the hotel under Marriott International's Four Points by Sheraton brand.
Located along the Discovery Passage on Vancouver Island, Campbell River is known as a destination for outdoor recreation and marine tourism. The project is expected to expand branded lodging options in the market while creating construction and hospitality jobs. Hotel Equities currently operates hotels in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia, Canada.
“Vancouver Island's tourism demand has outpaced its hotel supply for years, and Campbell River is a clear example of that gap,” Ryan McRae, SVP of business development for Hotel Equities, said in a statement. “We're building on our relationship with We Wai Kai Nation and Marriott to bring Four Points by Sheraton to this market.”
