G6 Hospitality launches Studio 6 Plus extended-stay brand

G6 Hospitality introduces Studio 6 Plus, a new-construction extended-stay brand aimed at the growing upper-economy segment. The brand, unveiled at G6 Hospitality’s annual franchisee convention in Cancún, Mexico this week, is designed to build on the legacy of Studio 6 while addressing evolving guest expectations and owner economics. The properties are expected to achieve ADRs of $75–$90 in most markets, with RevPAR targets around $60 - $70.

“Studio 6 Plus reflects how extended stays today are no longer just about having a place to sleep, they are about having a place to live. Across industries, we are seeing more people spend weeks and months on the move, and what they are looking for is a space that feels familiar, functional, and secure. We have been very intentional about creating an experience that feels less like a stay and more like a home, while continuing to build on the strong foundation of our existing brands and the trust they have earned over time,” G6 Hospitality Vice Chairman Ankit Tandon said in a statement.

Studio 6 Plus targets skilled tradespeople, traveling nurses, technicians, and project-based workers tied to construction, manufacturing, energy, and infrastructure projects—segments that continue to fuel extended-stay demand across secondary and tertiary markets.

Unlike traditional Studio 6 properties, Studio 6 Plus is a ground-up development concept with interior corridors, which G6 said offer increased security and a more residential feel for longer-term guests. Properties are expected to range from 60 to 150 rooms and include full kitchens, expanded storage, additional power outlets, and commercial-grade guest laundry facilities designed to generate ancillary revenue.

From an operational standpoint, the brand incorporates a three-click digital check-in system that automates front-desk transactions, allowing staff to focus on service delivery. “Hospitality ambassadors” replace traditional front-desk roles, while smart TVs and centralized technology platforms support streaming, food-and-beverage monetization and reduced labor costs.

G6 Hospitality also introduced a revised franchise fee structure for Studio 6 Plus, charging franchisees only on bookings generated directly by the brand rather than third-party OTA reservations—a move aimed at aligning brand incentives with owner performance.

"Studio 6 is a name travelers know and trust, but we recognized an opportunity to evolve that legacy for today's extended-stay guest. Studio 6 Plus keeps everything guests love about the brand—affordability, reliability, and comfort—while adding the security, space, and home-like features that matter most to people living with us for weeks or months at a time," said Sonal Sinha, CEO, G6 Hospitality.
