Faena New York to debut late spring 2025

Faena, a luxury lifestyle hotel founded by Alan Faena and Len Blavatnik, plans to open Faena New York in late spring 2025. This will be the brand’s first foray into New York City, a significant expansion following the Buenos Aires and Miami Beach properties.

Located at 500 West 18th Street, overlooking the High Line, the building was designed by the Bjarke Ingels Group. Faena New York will have 120 guestrooms and suites, the Tierra Santa Healing House, food and beverage venues and vibrant nightlife programming.

Faena New York marks two decades since Faena’s debut in Buenos Aires and a decade since the launch of Faena Miami Beach. Each Faena property reflects the brand’s commitment to art and cultural immersion.

“New York City has historically been the center of innovation, creativity and pushing boundaries," Alan Faena said in a statement. "Faena will embrace and amplify that spirit, offering a touch of magic that honors and contributes to the vibrant legacy of New York."

To lead Faena New York, François-Olivier Luiggi has been appointed general manager. Luiggi brings more than 25 years of experience managing luxury properties, including senior leadership positions at The Mark, The Carlyle and his recent eight-year tenure as general manager of The Pierre, a Taj Hotel, New York. His extensive career also includes a role in launching 19 Four Seasons hotels and resorts globally, giving him a deep understanding of the luxury traveler’s evolving needs.
