The U.S. hotel industry reported another week of positive year-over-year comparisons, according to CoStar’s latest data.
For the week of Aug. 2-8 (percentage change from comparable week in 2025):
- Occupancy: 70 percent (+3 percent)
- Average daily rate: $166.85 (+4.1 percent)
- Revenue per available room: $116.77 (+7.2 percent)
Top Markets
Among CoStar’s top 25 m$arkets, Philadelphia saw the highest increases in occupancy (+14.2 percent to 74.6 percent) and RevPAR (+27.4 percent to $116.29) as well as the second-highest gain in ADR (+11.5 percent to $155.79)
Chicago reported the largest ADR lift (+15.2 percent to $206.21) and the second-highest jump in RevPAR (+23.8 percent to $176.93).
Miami experienced the steepest declines in occupancy (-7.2 percent to 65.8 percent) and RevPAR (-8.5 percent to $107.60), while the largest ADR decrease (-4.1 percent to $158.12) was reported in Nashville.
