Canada’s hotel industry reported a second consecutive month of year-over-year performance increases, according to February data from CoStar.
For the month (percentage change from February 2025):
- Occupancy: 57.9 percent (+0.2 percent)
- Average daily rate: C$197.05 (+4 percent)
- Revenue per available room: C$114.18 (+4.2 percent)
Top Markets
Among the provinces and territories, Manitoba registered the largest increases across each of the three key performance metrics: occupancy (+7.6 percent to 66.8 percent), ADR (+7.8 percent to C$178.28) and RevPAR (+16 percent to C$119.17).
Among the major markets, Vancouver saw the largest increases in occupancy (+3.7 percent to 73.8 percent) and RevPAR (+7.8 percent to C$166.24).
Despite reporting the steepest decline in occupancy (-7.2 percent to 63.8 percent), Toronto posted the highest ADR gain (+7.2 percent to C$229.48).
