The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association has released the third edition of its AI Guidebook Series, which examines the impact of AI on hospitality jobs, skills and workforce management.
The latest edition is entitled, ”AI Workforce Transformation Guide for Caribbean Hospitality: Practical Strategies for People Management, Learning and Leadership.” The guide focuses on the workforce implications of artificial intelligence and provides hospitality businesses with guidance on preparing employees to use AI, adapting to changes in jobs and skills, and incorporating the technology into operations.
“AI presents an important opportunity for Caribbean hospitality, but its value will ultimately depend on how our industry uses it to support its people and strengthen its businesses,” CHTA president Sanovnik Destang said in a statement. “This guide is designed to help our members move from understanding AI to applying it responsibly: improving productivity, supporting their teams, and preserving the warmth and personal connection that define Caribbean hospitality.”
The guide also addresses leadership, ethics and governance considerations related to adoption of AI. It also includes tools intended to help hospitality leaders implement AI strategies, including an ethical AI charter, bias audit protocol, vendor scorecard, pilot plan and ROI calculator. Implementation road maps, checklists, case studies and sample policies are also included.
