The JW Marriott Atlanta Downtown is set to open this spring following a conversion of the former W Atlanta Downtown.
Operated by Denver-based Stonebridge Companies, the 237-room hotel will debut redesigned guestrooms, suites and public spaces as part of a full-property transformation. The project marks the U.S. debut of the JW Marriott Mindful Floor, which has 24 wellness-oriented rooms designed with neutral palettes and layered lighting intended to support rest and relaxation.
Interior design by Dallas-based Looney & Associates draws on themes of the city’s railway history, urban tree canopy and cultural diversity. An entry vestibule introduces filtered light, leading to a lobby defined by stone, wood finishes, integrated lighting and a reflective art installation.
A 360-degree lobby bar is designed to anchor the public space with open sightlines and surrounding seating. The adjacent Italian-inspired restaurant and expanded market have been reconfigured to improve circulation and visibility. The Executive Lounge—available exclusively to guests—provides access to workspace and food-and-beverage service.
Amenities include a rooftop pool bar with skyline views; a JW Garden supplying herbs for on-site dining venues; a spa and fitness center; and a boardroom overlooking greenspace along Ted Turner Drive. Meeting areas have been updated with new finishes, including the brand’s Blank Canvas Room, designed for flexible event use.
