The Atlantic Suites Hotel in Georgetown, Guyana, has plans to add a new tower and undergo a conversion to Hyatt Regency Georgetown Guyana in 2028.
The approximately $50 million project—being developed by locally based RJR Investments & Holdings—will connect the existing 80-room Atlantic Suites Hotel to a new adjoining tower via a pedestrian bridge. Upon completion, the combined property is expected to have 240 guestrooms and suites, a restaurant and market, lobby and rooftop bars and meeting and event space.
The hotel is located in Georgetown, Guyana’s capital and commercial center, roughly six miles from Eugene F. Correia International Airport. The existing Atlantic Suites Hotel includes guestrooms and suites, a 24-hour fitness center and access to amenities at the neighboring Pegasus Hotel and Pegasus Corporate Business Center, which are also owned by RJR Investments & Holdings. Those facilities include approximately 36,000-square-feet of meeting and event space, six dining venues and an outdoor pool.

When the conversion is completed in 2028, the Hyatt Regency Georgetown Guyana is expected to join the World of Hyatt loyalty program. Hyatt Place Georgetown Guyana—a separate 136-room property—is also expected to join the Hyatt portfolio later this year.
