Formerly operating as Salamander Washington DC, the 373-room luxury hotel has converted to Marriott International's Autograph Collection portfolio and been renamed The Potomac Hotel, Autograph Collection.
As part of the conversion, Boston, Mass.-based Pyramid Global Hospitality has assumed management of the hotel, which was acquired in 2022 by Henderson Park and rebranded from the former Mandarin Oriental. Salamander Collection founder and CEO Sheila Johnson will remain a minority partner in the property.
The hotel has 38,000 square-feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, a dual-level spa, indoor pool, fitness center and multiple food-and-beverage outlets, including Dōgon, the restaurant led by Chef Kwame Onwuachi. Located along Washington's Southwest waterfront, The Potomac Hotel is within walking distance of the National Mall and The Wharf.
