The former Mondrian Los Angeles has officially relaunched as The Valorian Los Angeles, Curio Collection by Hilton.
Located on West Hollywood’s Sunset Boulevard, the property has been a fixture in the market since opening in 1996. A major redesign in 2018 refreshed the hotel’s public spaces and guestrooms.
As part of the transition, the hotel is now operated by Pivot, the lifestyle operating arm of Davidson Hospitality Group, and becomes part of Hilton’s Curio Collection—an affiliation that allows independent properties to maintain their character while accessing Hilton’s global distribution platform and Hilton Honors loyalty program.
"The Valorian marks the next evolution of a hotel that has long helped define the Sunset Strip," said Randy Diamond, regional vice president of operations for Pivot, said in a statement. "We are preserving the edge, creativity and sense of occasion that made this property iconic, while elevating the guest experience through a refined new identity, Hilton's global platform, and the introduction of White Rabbit Sky Lounge for the next era of West Hollywood."
"The Valorian is a natural fit for Curio Collection by Hilton," said Brooke Thomas, brand leader, Curio Collection by Hilton. "It captures the creative spirit and cultural energy that define West Hollywood, while delivering a one-of-a-kind experience that is deeply rooted in its location. That is exactly the kind of experience Curio Collection is built to offer across its growing global portfolio."
Inside, The Valorian maintains the bold design approach that has defined the property for decades, including its dramatic entry sequence, layered interiors and immersive lobby experience. The hotel will continue to feature rotating art installations and cultural programming tied to West Hollywood’s creative community.
Guestrooms and suites retain the modern aesthetic introduced during the 2018 renovation, offering views of the Sunset Strip, Hollywood Hills and downtown Los Angeles. The property also has a collection of suites aimed at longer stays and special-occasion travel.
The hotel’s rooftop venue has been reintroduced as White Rabbit Sky Lounge, replacing the former SkyBar. The space will have day-to-night programming, seasonal activations, panoramic city views and a refreshed cocktail menu. A further design evolution is expected later this year.
Casa Madera, the hotel’s signature restaurant, will continue to operate without interruption as part of the property’s food-and-beverage lineup.
