Innisfree Hotels has opened the new Surf & Sand Fernandina Beach at Amelia Island in Fernandina Beach, Fla. The property is now part of Choice Hotels' Ascend Hotel Collection.
The 50-room Surf & Sand Fernandina Beach at Amelia Island is a conversion of the former Comfort Suites Fernandina Beach site, which has undergone a significant renovation. The new space uses blue and white with palm accents and has artwork in public spaces and guestrooms.
"We are so excited for guests to experience the Surf & Sand Fernandina Beach at Amelia Island and make it their home base while enjoying gorgeous Fernandina Beach," Innisfree Hotels President and CEO Ted Ent said in a statement. "We saw the history and potential in this property when we purchased it last year, and it is wonderful to see that vision come to life in such a magnificent way."
