ARC Hotel Washington, DC debuts as Series by Marriott after reno

ARC Hotel Washington, DC has officially reopened following a comprehensive renovation, marking its debut as part of Marriott International’s Series by Marriott portfolio.

Formerly known as ARC Hotel Washington, D.C., Georgetown, the property is in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood. Located near the Foggy Bottom–GWU Metro station, the hotel provides access to downtown Washington, Reagan National Airport and surrounding neighborhoods.

One of Marriott International’s newest collection brands, Series by Marriott is designed to deliver a curated guest experience that blends dependable quality, modern design and exceptional value, according to the company.

“Joining Series by Marriott allows us to elevate the ARC Hotel experience while preserving the individuality of our property and neighborhood,” general manager Abdulla Almutairi said in a statement. “With refreshed interiors, enhanced guest touchpoints and our prime Foggy Bottom location, we look forward to welcoming guests seeking a stay where the essentials are done exceptionally well.”

The repositioned hotel features renovated guestrooms—larger than typical urban accommodations—designed for business travelers, families and extended stays. The renovation includes a comprehensive refresh of both public and private spaces, highlighted by a redesigned arrival experience with an updated front desk, enhanced lighting and improved layout.

Public areas have been modernized with new furnishings, curated artwork, updated finishes and refreshed carpeting. Additional updates include a redesigned marketplace offering grab-and-go snacks, beverages and travel essentials, along with expanded hot breakfast options.
