Dreamscape appoints special advisor for the Caribbean

Dreamscape Hospitality appoints Jerry Christopher Butler as special advisor for the Caribbean. Butler will advise Dreamscape on business development initiatives throughout the Caribbean, bringing decades of experience working with governments, financial institutions and private-sector stakeholders. His deep understanding of public-private collaboration, capital structuring, and regulatory environments will support Dreamscape as it advances development opportunities and expands its national and international footprint.

Butler’s career spans more than 30 years across the Caribbean, North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia. He has held senior leadership roles in corporate and development banking, including serving as vice president of corporate banking and northern head of Caribbean Financial Advisory Services for the Caribbean’s largest commercial bank, where he led strategic engagement with governments, investors, and multinational partners across the region.

He was also elected three times as an executive director of the Inter-American Development Bank Group, serving as dean of the board and chairing multiple committees. His public-sector experience includes serving as senior policy advisor in the Office of the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, along with leadership roles across regional development banks, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions.

“Dr. Butler’s ability to navigate government frameworks, financial institutions, and public-private partnerships makes him an invaluable resource as we advance new development opportunities in the Caribbean,” President Adam Patenaude said in a statement.

Butler is the Founding Chairman of the Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum (CREF) and is frequently engaged to facilitate strategic partnerships and investment opportunities across both the public and private sectors.

“Dreamscape is taking a thoughtful and long-term approach to growth in the Caribbean,” said Butler. “I’m excited to support the team as they identify opportunities, build strong government and financial partnership and advance projects that create lasting economic value in the region.”
