The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Fla., currently part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, will soon become the Signia by Hilton Diplomat Resort.
No specific date for the rebranding has been announced, but recent property renovations are near completion. These include a new oceanfront event terrace, refurbished public spaces, a new outdoor bar, and new adult pool with cabanas. Also, a 6,600-square-foot Club Signia hospitality suite, accessible to guests for a fee, was created on the 33rd floor of the 36-story hotel, which sits between the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway.
In February 2023, a joint venture between Credit Suisse Asset Management and Trinity Fund Advisors LLC acquired the resort from Brookfield Properties. At the time of the sale, the transaction was the third biggest single-asset sale ever in the U.S. Earlier this year, JLL arranged $575 million in financing for the beachfront hotel through mortgage lenders, Citi and Deutsche Bank. JLL also led the hotel’s sale to Brookfield Properties.
This will be the fourth Signia-branded hotel in the U.S., joining operational properties in Atlanta, Orlando and San Jose. The brand is preparing to open another 800-room, new-build hotel in 2026 in Indianapolis. Another Signia hotel is scheduled to open in 2027 next to the Hilton West Palm Beach.
